Job Title: IT Administrator
Monday to Friday
Job Overview:
You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of IT infrastructure across multiple locations in Europe. This includes creating work plans and processes, developing structures and documentation, and coordinating with suppliers and external companies in the IT domain. You will also contribute to various projects aimed at improving the current IT environment.

As an IT Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the security, performance, and optimisation of IT systems and processes. Your responsibilities will include managing network infrastructure, information security, and disaster recovery systems, as well as ensuring compliance with company IT policies. You will also collaborate closely with end users and management to optimise processes, automate tasks, integrate systems, and develop reporting tools. Regular documentation, stakeholder communication, and occasional travel between sites will be essential for the success of this role.

- Compliance and System Management:
- Ensure adherence to company IT policies and systems within the region.
- Oversee the management of network equipment, services, and infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, servers, and video conferencing systems.
- Maintain information security measures, including antivirus protection, remote access systems, internet usage policies, and wide area networks (WAN).
- Drive the development of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and ensure regular training and updates for employees.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with end users and management to identify system requirements, reporting needs, and areas for improvement.
- Manage and support IT projects, including working with subcontractors and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Take the initiative to implement system and process improvements.
- System and Network Maintenance:
- Support the operation, development, and maintenance of networks, servers, and disaster recovery systems.
- Work with stakeholders to define problems, develop solutions, and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
- Automate tasks and integrate systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare system specifications to ensure they meet operational needs.
- ERP Integration and Financial Processes:
- Understand financial processes and their integration with the ERP system.
- Issue Resolution and Reporting:
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues based on defined tasks.
- Track customer change requests and ensure timely implementation.
- Create and modify reports and queries using reporting software to improve user efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Review existing systems and recommend new procedures or tools to improve performance.
- Travel occasionally between sites to support system implementation and project activities.
- Coordinate with teams to explore new B2B solution opportunities, aligning them with organizational needs.
- Support project management efforts, including defining deliverables and monitoring progress.

Skills and Competencies:
- IT Fundamentals:
- Operating Systems: Knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10, and Windows 11.
- Hardware: Understanding of servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
- Networking Basics: Knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLAN, and switching.
- Network Administration:
- Expertise in VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and network security.
- Experience in configuring and maintaining network devices (Cisco, HP, MikroTik).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or PRTG.
- Server and System Administration:
- Active Directory management (Users, Groups, Policies).
- Proficient with Exchange Server/Office 365 administration and support.
- Experience with Hyper-V administration and cloud services (Azure).
- Backup and Disaster Recovery:
- Experience with backup solutions (e.g., Veeam) and disaster recovery strategies.
- IT Security:
- Familiarity with firewalls, antivirus solutions, intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as Zero Trust, MFA, and endpoint security.
- Understanding of GDPR, ISO 27001, and general IT security frameworks.
- Software and Tools:
- Proficiency with IT Service Management (ITSM) systems like Zendesk.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios or Icinga.
- Expertise in PowerShell and scripting for task automation.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Basic project management experience.
- Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders.
- Teamwork and collaboration with other departments and external vendors.
