Job Title: Laboratory Manager
Role Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Kildare

Force Recruitment and partnered with an animal health diagnostic laboratory in Kildare to hire a Laboratory Manager on a full time, permanent basis. This role reports to the Technical Manager and will manage operations of this ISO17025 accredited lab.

Duties and responsibilities:

Serve as the acting Technical Manager in their absence.
Oversee the daily operations of the laboratories.
Maintain regular communication with clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
Ensure the laboratory is adequately staffed and equipped to meet testing requirements.
Monitor the performance of laboratory operations.
Report test results to clients.
Supervise lab personnel and manage testing activities during shifts.
Record instances of non-conforming work in FT0013.
Implement corrective actions as necessary.
Evaluate the performance of analysts and laboratory assistants.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Technical Manager.

Skills and Experience Required:

Relevant Level 8 degree
2+ years experience in a leadership role in an ISO 17025 Or ISO9001 environment
Experience with molecular and immunoassay methods for disease testing
Test Verification experience desirable
