Account Manager
Job description
Job Title: Account Manager – Munster
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Location: Hybrid role. You’ll spend 3-4 days per week visiting clients within your territory, with 1-2 days dedicated to administrative work from home. Visits to our Dublin office will be required approximately once every two weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Territory Management: Oversee a defined territory, maintaining relationships with existing clients through regular on-site visits, particularly with key accounts.
- Lead Generation: Proactively generate new business opportunities through client meetings, phone calls, and other outreach activities.
- Performance Targets: Consistently meet KPIs related to client interactions (calls, meetings) and sales revenue goals.
- Product Expertise: Develop a strong understanding of our products and services, including technical aspects, to provide on-site demonstrations as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team to gather customer requirements and create accurate project quotations.
- Team Involvement: Actively participate in weekly sales meetings, as well as occasional supplier training sessions, industry trade shows, and other relevant events.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a similar role, ideally within a related industry.
- Education: A qualification in Business or Engineering is desirable but not essential.
- Independence & Initiative: Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and solve problems effectively with minimal supervision.
- Communication Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must, along with strong interpersonal skills to communicate technical information and build relationships with clients and team members.
- Driving License: A valid full EEA driving license is required, as travel to customer sites across Ireland is a key part of the role.
