Force Recruitment have partnered with one of the best pharmaceutical manufacturers who are on a look out for an EHS Advisor for their site based in Dublin.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the site is operating in accordance with current legislation, fully compliant with our Industrial Emissions Licence (IEL), EU and National environmental health & safety legislation.
Be visible to the operational and site teams ensuring an open communication path for all EHS queries or suggestions.
Coordinate environmental controls and ensure all environmentally critical equipment is operating correctly.
Liaise with external EHS Agencies, e.g. EPA, Fingal Co. Council, Irish Water, HSA, etc. as required, representing the company to the highest standard.
Coordinate site environmental and waste management programmes driving continuous improvements.
Highlight all pertinent environmental, health and safety concerns and issues, and propose suitable means of addressing them.
Ensure that all staff receive training relating to our IEL and environmental awareness, as appropriate.
Coordinate Health and Safety as well as Environmental audit programmes to global EHS standards and ISO requirements.
Maintain and generate EHS Metrics for our site weekly and monthly scorecards and analyse data to track progress toward our EHS goals.
Collaborate with the wider global EHS team on upcoming sustainability projects and strategies to support annual targets.
Develop and implement plant-wide improvements in risk reduction and risk management solutions arising from EHS assessment and monitoring.
Develop and implement adequate occupational hygiene measures, including measurement and analysis of defined levels, and implementation of suitable control measures if required.
Review and update, as and when required, EHS-related Standard Operating Procedures using document control system.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate global EHS & sustainability principles into new projects and manage change on site having due regard to IEL requirements.
About your skills & experience
A qualification in Environmental Science or EHS equivalent is required for this role, minimum Level 8.
5 years’ experience in a similar role.
IPPC/IEL licence experience essential for this position.
Occupational hygiene measurement and assessment experience.
Waste management and recycling experience.
Trade effluent legislation and compliance experience.
Air emissions legislation and compliance experience.
Emergency response system implementation and management experience.
