Finance Manager (12-Month Contract) – Mullingar
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role is pivotal in shaping the financial strategy and overseeing financial operations within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The successful candidate will drive efficiency through effective controls and processes, supporting informed decision-making and long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor financial performance, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
- Continuously assess, streamline, and automate accounting processes to reduce manual work and improve data insights.
Budgeting, Scenario Planning & Forecasting
- Lead budgeting, scenario planning, and forecasting processes.
- Collaborate with various departments to support business planning and financial decision-making.
Supply Chain Financial Management
- Provide financial insights to optimize the end-to-end supply chain.
- Analyze the financial impact of supply chain inefficiencies.
Regulatory Compliance & Auditing
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Facilitate and manage external audit processes.
Costing & Margin Analysis
- Evaluate costs and product pricing regularly to maintain competitive margins.
Financial Risk Management
- Identify and manage financial risks related to pricing, supply chain disruptions, and currency fluctuations.
- Implement hedging strategies as needed.
Additional Experience
Promotion & Sales Performance Monitoring
- Analyze the profitability and ROI of marketing promotions.
- Support sales and marketing teams in developing promotional budgets and forecasts.
New Product Development (NPD) Financial Analysis
- Provide financial guidance throughout the NPD process and conduct post-launch financial reviews.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and strategic guidance.
- Engage with external investors, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Lead and mentor finance and accounting team members.
Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Financial Strategies
- Develop financial strategies for DTC initiatives, considering logistics, pricing, and customer acquisition costs.
- Assess the financial implications of digital sales channels and DTC strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
Professional Certification
- A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in accounting and financial management.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager; experience in a high-growth business is desirable.
- Strong proficiency in financial software and automation tools.
Education & Professional Development
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Continued professional development through relevant courses, workshops, or seminars.
