Finance Manager (12-Month Contract) – Mullingar

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role is pivotal in shaping the financial strategy and overseeing financial operations within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The successful candidate will drive efficiency through effective controls and processes, supporting informed decision-making and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor financial performance, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Continuously assess, streamline, and automate accounting processes to reduce manual work and improve data insights.

Budgeting, Scenario Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead budgeting, scenario planning, and forecasting processes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support business planning and financial decision-making.

Supply Chain Financial Management

  • Provide financial insights to optimize the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Analyze the financial impact of supply chain inefficiencies.

Regulatory Compliance & Auditing

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Facilitate and manage external audit processes.

Costing & Margin Analysis

  • Evaluate costs and product pricing regularly to maintain competitive margins.

Financial Risk Management

  • Identify and manage financial risks related to pricing, supply chain disruptions, and currency fluctuations.
  • Implement hedging strategies as needed.

Additional Experience

Promotion & Sales Performance Monitoring

  • Analyze the profitability and ROI of marketing promotions.
  • Support sales and marketing teams in developing promotional budgets and forecasts.

New Product Development (NPD) Financial Analysis

  • Provide financial guidance throughout the NPD process and conduct post-launch financial reviews.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and strategic guidance.
  • Engage with external investors, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Lead and mentor finance and accounting team members.

Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Financial Strategies

  • Develop financial strategies for DTC initiatives, considering logistics, pricing, and customer acquisition costs.
  • Assess the financial implications of digital sales channels and DTC strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

Professional Certification

  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager; experience in a high-growth business is desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and automation tools.

Education & Professional Development

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Continued professional development through relevant courses, workshops, or seminars.
