Job Description for Specialty KAM

Role Overview:

  • To assume responsibility for specified Specialty products, including Neurology and Diabetes, and to prepare for the launch of new assets. The objective is to maximize sales and profit potential for each asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement tactical plans based on the Specialty portfolio within the Irish market.

  2. Develop and deliver sales opportunities and act as the point of contact for all HCP and hospital-related clinical and pricing queries with respect to Specialty products.

  3. Interact on commercial queries and provide information to develop country-specific reports for Stada as required.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure key account engagement and sales uptake of Lecigon, Apo-Go, and 4Sure, and achieve key sales targets.

  2. Develop early insights and clear pathways for new pipeline Specialty product opportunities.

  3. Maintain extensive knowledge of Neurology and Diabetes, identifying key account contacts at clinical and management levels in Secondary Care for Specialty opportunities.

  4. Provide insight and support to the Marketing department in developing strategies and tactical plans.

  5. Manage key tasks independently as they relate to key accounts and collaborate on broader tasks as well as specific designated projects.

  6. Develop relationships with key stakeholders, focusing on identifying and gaining access to Key Opinion Leaders.

  7. Liaise with the Marketing Manager for Global Team inputs and represent company interests as agreed in meetings/clinical sessions.

  8. Provide relevant insights for health economic analyses as required.

  9. Gather and report intelligence on key competitors.

  10. Ensure a thorough understanding of the MFI Code of Practice, with a particular focus on sales, and ensure compliance with Company and Legal directives.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of the healthcare sector, including customers and competitors in Neurology and Diabetes.

  • A minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in these or aligned markets.

  • Familiarity with the MFI Code of Practice and/or IPHA Code of Practice.

  • A working knowledge of some or all of the company's Specialty areas is an advantage.

  • Strong sales and analytical thinking skills.

  • Public speaking and presentation skills.

  • Full, clean driving license.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Ability to achieve buy-in from all stakeholders.
