Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly upon arrival, assist with check-ins, and provide necessary information about services.
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage patient appointments efficiently, including scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments. Ensure that the daily schedule runs smoothly.
- Telephone Support: Answer incoming calls, provide information, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate team members.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain patient records and update personal details accurately in the system. Handle paperwork and assist in the completion of forms as required.
- Insurance and Billing Support: Assist with processing patient insurance claims, check coverage, and answer billing inquiries.
- Office Organisation: Ensure reception area is tidy and welcoming, keep patient waiting area stocked with relevant materials, and maintain inventory of office supplies.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the dentist, dental hygienists, and assistants to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth office operations.
- Patient Confidentiality: Adhere to confidentiality guidelines and maintain the privacy of patient information at all times.
- Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role, ideally within a medical or dental practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanour.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using computers
- A professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
