Senior Project Manager - Shannon

My client, an established Biologics multinational, is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Shannon, Co. Claire.

This role is responsible for managing and executing a portfolio of capital projects across utilities, HVAC, and facilities at a GMP site in Shannon. The position involves overseeing projects through their full life cycle, from initiation to closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence, and aligning with good engineering practices and regulatory standards.

The manager will handle multiple complex projects, including utilities and HVAC upgrades, equipment installations, and facility upgrades. Frequent interaction with senior management is expected, as these projects shape the overall strategy and elevate the facility's operations.

Key responsibilities include financial management, project scope and budget development, ensuring adherence to safety and engineering standards, and coordinating with global departments such as engineering, procurement, and environmental health & safety. They will develop business cases, manage project prioritization, design, scheduling, and procurement processes.

Risk management and mitigating potential interruptions to business operations are critical aspects of the role. The manager will lead the start-up, commissioning, and validation of project equipment and systems, as well as ensure the successful closeout of all projects.

Candidates should have a degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Automation, or Process Engineering, with at least seven years of project management experience within the pharmaceutical sector. Strong financial and stakeholder management skills, the ability to manage teams, and experience with project lifecycle processes are essential.

Familiarity with SAP, budgeting tools, and cross-functional team management is required. PMP® or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification and biologic manufacturing site experience are considered advantages. Excellent communication and leadership skills are critical for influencing and managing teams.
