Territory Manager

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Pharmacy Territory Manager to promote and sell a range of generic and branded over-the-counter (OTC) medicines to pharmacies. This role requires building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and effectively communicating the value of our products to drive sales growth within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets and grow market share.
  • Identify and acquire new pharmacy clients while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Adapt to territory changes based on business needs.

2. Product Promotion:

  • Present and promote the company’s range of generic and branded OTC medicines to pharmacy staff and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and deliver in-depth product knowledge to clients.

3. Market Analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the marketing team to enhance business strategy.

4. Customer Support:

  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to product supply, pricing, and availability.

5. Reporting and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and expenses using CRM software.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmaceutical regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in OTC and generics.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and healthcare industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, specifically within pharmacies.
  • A strong understanding of local market dynamics and established relationships with key pharmacy stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of sales success in OTC and generic medicines, with strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude, bringing energy and enthusiasm to their role every day.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve team objectives.
  • A flexible and committed approach, including availability to attend conferences and events, occasionally on weekends, to maximize networking and sales opportunities.
