Job description
Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Location: Dublin 15, Co Dublin
Job Summary:
As a warehouse Operative you are responsible for all tasks associated with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) sampling of raw materials, warehousing, receiving, and inventory movements. This role includes the handling, preparation, and sampling of chemicals, as well as the operation and monitoring of equipment in accordance with current GMPs.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehousing, Cryogenics, and Logistics Operations:
- Execute all tasks associated with warehouse processes, including receiving, sampling, and raw material storage.
- Perform quality inspections of incoming consumables to ensure compliance with standards.
- Conduct GMP sampling of all sites raw materials in an ISO7 (Grade C) environment, utilising downflow booths, fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, and nitrogen overlay processes.
- Supply the manufacturing area with necessary materials in a timely manner, ensuring high levels of internal customer service.
- Transfer materials and consumables from the Warehouse to Just In Time (JIT) areas and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Manage the KANBAN system for consumables within the MPCC building.
- Contribute to the generation and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the warehouse.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
- Perform cycle counting for inventory accuracy in warehouse locations.
- Assist in developing SOPs, investigations, CAPAs, and change controls related to materials management activities.
- Collaborate with the manager, supervisor, and warehouse team to maintain inspection readiness for regulatory audits.
Safety:
- Promote a safety-first culture and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Identify and escalate safety concerns and near misses to prevent incidents.
- Report all safety issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Utilize appropriate safety and GMP attire and protective equipment as per training and SOPs.
- Familiarize with emergency procedures in manufacturing areas and ensure compliance with safety training.
Teamwork:
- Work as part of a cross-functional team to support the development and validation of warehouse operations.
- Participate in regular team meetings and shift handovers.
- Engage in departmental and cross-functional initiatives to improve safety, quality, compliance, and performance.
- Act as a liaison between the warehouse and other teams, directing team members or contractors as needed.
Development:
- Maintain expertise in all aspects of warehouse processes and equipment through ongoing training and development.
- Actively manage personal training plans to complete job function curricula.
- Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Operational Excellence (OPEX) by enhancing work processes and promoting a safe work environment.
- Share knowledge and insights with colleagues to encourage continuous development.
Housekeeping:
- Uphold the highest standards of housekeeping while performing tasks.
- Participate in pre-operational checks to ensure readiness.
- Always maintain an audit-ready state of the plant.

Required Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum educational requirement: Leaving Certificate; a third-level qualification in logistics and/or manufacturing is preferred.
- At least 2 years of GMP experience; experience in biologics manufacturing is preferred.
- Familiarity with computerized production and inventory control systems (SAP) and documentation practices is ideal.
- Training on powered industrial trucks, turret trucks, reach trucks, motorized pallet trucks, etc.
- Understanding of regulations pertaining to the handling of hazardous materials.
