Location: Dublin, Ireland

About the Role:

The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key strategic accounts and clients within the construction, planning, architectural, specifier, and end-user sectors. This role requires a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with excellent communication, negotiation, and technical understanding. With a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets, identifying new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned key accounts, focusing on long-term partnerships and value creation.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, such as new product introductions, process improvements, and project expansions.
  • Negotiate and close complex deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability while maintaining competitive pricing and margins.
  • Accurately forecast and track sales performance, providing regular reports and analysis to management.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals, effectively communicating the value proposition of products and solutions.
  • Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting issues, conducting site visits, and offering expert advice on product selection and application.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., engineering, production, R&D) to ensure timely and effective project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.
  • Actively participate in industry events and conferences to network and build relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferable.
  • Experience in a Key Account Management or Sales management role.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business objectives in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Strong work ethic, results-oriented approach, and a passion for building long-term customer relationships.
