Maintenance / Facility Technician - Longford

My client, an injection moulding manufacturer, is currently recruiting for a Maintenance / Facility Technician to join their Manufacturing and Engineering team.
Responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Using an Asset Management System (Maximo), the technician will carry out routine maintenance and repairs within and outside our facility.
This is vital to the efficiency, development, and progress of the manufacturing site. Working with other professionals, they will improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns, and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel, and production processes.

Requirements:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Preforms all the maintenance repairs, rebuilds, etc. on the machines and infrastructure.
  • The Maintenance Technician will have to maintain all the equipment and machinery that is in the manufacturing facility of the company.
  • Regular checks for the maintenance of the machines and repair the part that need to be replaced.
  • Attend calls for repair work as delay in work results in revenue loss for the company.
  • Keep maintenance reports and make records for all the repair work conducted on the machinery.
  • Be present in the factory and perform all the repair work on site.
  • Develop the existing machinery to work efficiently.
  • Carefully maintain inventory for the tools and place orders for new ones when they are required.

Educational Qualification Needed for A Maintenance Technician
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
  • Experience in the field expanding up to at least four years.
  • Knowledge of Maximo – Asset Management system or equivalent would be an advantage. This is not a requirement as full training will be available on site.
