The Hospital Pharmaceutical Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to hospitals & GP's institutions, and medical professionals. The role involves building relationships with key stakeholders, educating them on product benefits, and ensuring sales targets are met while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to promote pharmaceutical products to hospital decision-makers, including physicians, pharmacists, and procurement teams.
Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Conduct regular sales calls, presentations, and product demonstrations to healthcare professionals.
2. Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital staff, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and procurement officers.
Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries or concerns regarding pharmaceutical products.
3. Product Knowledge & Training
Maintain deep knowledge of company products, their indications, benefits, and competitive advantages.
Educate healthcare professionals on product usage, benefits, and potential side effects.
Stay updated on industry trends, clinical research, and competitor activities.
4. Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical industry regulations, ethical standards, and company policies.
Document and report sales activities, market trends, and competitor insights to management.
Manage expense budgets and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
Key Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales (hospital experience preferred).
Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the pharmaceutical industry.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and hospital procurement processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for hospital visits.
Understanding of local healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
