Manufacturing IT Infrastructure Engineer
Location - Athlone

12 months contract, guaranteed long placements

(Candidates should hold Stamp 4/EU Passport for this position)

Force recruitment have partnered with one of the top biopharmaceutical manufacturing, who is currently on a look out for a Manufacturing IT Infrastructure Engineer. The Manufacturing IT Infrastructure Engineer has the technical responsibility for the support and preventative maintenance of Manufacturing IT systems, networking and other hardware.

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:

  • Provide real-time front line support to the production group on their manufacturing IT systems.

  • Periodically applying approved patches using centralised patch management tools

  • System Readiness Testing of production systems prior to handback for commercial manufacturing

  • Routine configuration of segmented vlan networks

  • Attend regular team meetings to inform stakeholders of progress

  • Reporting of progress to system owners and the wider IS team

  • Regularly liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication on outages

  • Adherence to GXP procedures on site in relation to all aspects of the position

Skills and Education

  • Third level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or Equivalent

  • Min 2 years’ experience working with automation or IT systems preferably in the Life Sciences/ Pharma sector

  • Experience with Automation/DCS Systems such as Delta V aswell as virtual infrastructure such as VMware ESX & Hyper V an advantage

  • Experience in managing system IT infrastructure also an advantage
