Packaging & Shipping Operator
Mullingar
12 Month Contract

Our Client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Packaging and Shipping Operator to join their team in Mullingar. The successful candidate will be responsible for packaging and shipping customer orders according to work instructions and procedures, while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weigh, package, and label products in the cleanroom based on customer orders

• Ship customer orders both domestically and internationally, working with specified carriers and freight forwarders

• Prepare shipment documentation for international orders, collaborating closely with the CSR team

• Ensure shipping orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately, following work instructions, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements

• Coordinate with shipping companies to schedule pick-ups and customer deliveries as needed

• Track shipments to prevent customs delays and temperature excursions

• Communicate with customers via email to provide required paperwork

• Maintain an inventory of shipping materials, conduct cycle counts, and complete annual inventory checks

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

• Actively contribute to organisational goals by taking initiative, focusing on performance, and prioritising safety

Qualifications:

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent required; relevant experience may substitute for formal education

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Proficient in computer use, including a good working knowledge of Excel

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

• Demonstrates responsible and ethical behavior at all times

• Ability to add value to the organisation by understanding business operations, making informed decisions, and driving innovation

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, or material handling is highly desirable

• Experience with inventory management, cycle counts, or audits is a plus

• Familiarity with SAP is advantageous

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
