Purchasing Manager - Plumbing
We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our team in Cork City. This role is responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects within the assigned portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy: Support procurement strategy development and implementation.
Market Insight: Monitor industry trends, competition, and emerging technologies to inform procurement decisions.
Range Management: Maintain a competitive and innovative product assortment.
Supply & Fulfilment: Oversee procurement processes, demand forecasting, and supply chain management to ensure on-time, in-full delivery.
Inventory & Cost Optimisation: Manage stock levels, negotiate pricing and contracts, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Pricing & Performance Management: Optimise pricing strategies, track performance, and drive continuous improvement.
Supplier & Customer Engagement: Build strong supplier relationships and collaborate on customer-centric initiatives.
Team Collaboration & Administration: Work cross-functionally to support procurement needs and handle purchasing administration.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in Senior Purchasing Management, preferably in wholesale/retail.
Strong procurement, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with ERP systems.
